CHASEY AND FORMAN PLAY COUNTY POLITICS AT EXPENSE OF MULLICA RESIDENTS

Keep Mullica Green's Bernie Graebener and Michael St. Amour recently sent a letter to Atlantic County requesting that crews please remove trash from the sides of county roads BEFORE running over the trash with lawn mowing equipment. For the last several years, shredded waste has been left on the sides of county roads in areas where there is little or no residential development. Mullica's residents have, for the most part, maintained their properties along county roads and have picked up the trash that has been left in their yards.

When Graebener and St. Amour suggested at a committee meeting that a letter be sent, Deputy Mayor Bill Kennedy agreed that there wasn't much harm in sending a letter, but Kathy Chasey indicated at that meeting that she was "comfortable" with the trash on the roadside. When the letter was drafted, Republicans Kennedy, Chasey and Forman all declined to sign the letter to the County.

The County's recent terse and unprofessional response, as penned by Dennis Levinson underling Gerry Del Rosso, suggests that Mullica residents should be more appreciative of what they get from Atlantic County. Dennis Levinson apparently subscribes to the same theory that Janet Forman does as the Mayor of Mullica---just go along with whatever they want and don't express a dissenting opinion.

Levinson likely will shrink away from Del Rosso's childish response, reminding us that he (Denny) didn't write the letter. And our Mayor will certainly try to insinuate that Graebener & St. Amour somehow "embarrassed" Mullica by respectfully asking the County to do what they should have been doing all along.

The real embarrassment for Mullica is the FACT that Chasey and Forman have put their allegiance to the County Republican machine FAR AHEAD of the needs and wishes of Mullica's residents and taxpayers. Watch for Forman to take a swipe at Graebener and St. Amour at the upcoming committee meeting. In the end, though, how can Chasey and Forman possibly defend leaving trash by the roadside rather than asking the County to maintain their own rights-of-way? This is just another issue for voters to decide in November's election...
